Back in Alicante, there is much to see and do, including a trip up to Santa Barbara castle. Located at the peak of Mount Benacantil, at an elevation of 166 meters, the castle is one of the largest medieval fortresses in Spain and provides a perfect lookout over the bay of Alicante.
