The city also boasts a wealth of religious monuments, such as the beautiful 17th century Baroque Nice Cathedral and the Saint Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral. Built by Tsar Nicholas II in 1912, it is the largest Orthodox Church outside of Russia, and draws attention with its bright red colour and onion-shaped domes.
In addition to impressive and luxurious buildings, Nice boasts a beautiful old town, a labyrinth of alleyways dotted with small terraces and old, brightly coloured houses with red roofs. Here you will find Saint François Square, renowned for its picturesque fish and flower markets, where you can go to relax and enjoy the carefree spirit of Nice.
