Two kilometres from the centre, you will find New Medina, a pretty and tranquil area that is less frequented by tourists, designed by French architects in 1923, which houses a large selection of bookshops. Between Old Medina and the modern shopping area, you will find the beautiful and majestic Mohammed V square, surrounded by amazing Mudejar-style buildings, such as the Palace of Justice, the French Consulate and the Prefecture.
If you are looking for a place to relax by the water before going out for a drink and a dance, look no further than La Corniche, the city’s promenade. Punctuating the long stretch is the charming El Hank lighthouse, which guides boats to the coast and reminds us that ‘we’ll always have Casablanca…’
