The King Abdulaziz International KAIA airport in Jeddah (JED), Saudi Arabia is located in North Jeddah approximately 20 kilometres from the city and very close to Mecca .
The airport has two passenger terminals for both domestic flights (South Terminal) and international flights (North Terminal). There are plans to build a much larger new airport.
Passenger traffic between King Abdulaziz KAIA Airport is by tram.
There is no connection between the airport and city centre via bus so access must be either by car, taxi or private transport companies that take travellers through the highways surrounding the airport. There are plans for a railway line.
The airport has plenty of dining and duty free shopping facilities; banking services, ATMs, currency exchange, lockers and baggage claim, post office, wifi, business services, and Grand Mosque.
